Recruitment of a replacement CEO for the Technology Transfer business of Dstl.
In 2009 the existing CEO of PIL transferred to run a spin out. Having done an exceptional job over the previous 4 years he was a hard act to follow. I was contracted to find a replacement utilising a combined internet advertising and head hunting strategy. The advertisement brought a response that far exceeded expectations in terms of quantity and quality. This was supplemented by a focussed search process. Over 30 interviews were conducted and an exceptional 6 person shortlist was chosen with 3 people being considered excellent candidates for the role. The first choice candidate was offered the role and I managed the salary negotiation through to his acceptance and start in the position.
Initial Market Research and then development of the business proposition for a Sonar business spun out from Dstl. Acted as Chairman taking venture through its first round funding.
